Before the first sketch: planning your home interiors
Begin with how you live. Note the daily routines your current home supports, and those it makes harder. A useful brief covers storage, cooking, work, rest and the people sharing each space.
Separate essential work from nice-to-have additions. Keep a contingency in your overall budget and ask for a written scope before execution begins.
Bring a measured floor plan, possession details and a few reference images to your consultation. Use references to explain what you like about a space rather than asking to reproduce it exactly.
